Padel Americano for 10 or 11 players on 2 courts
With two courts, eight people play each round. With 10 players two rest every round; with 11 players three rest.
The honest trade-off
Ten players make 45 possible pairs, but two courts use only 4 pairs per round, so using every pair once would take 11¼ rounds. Quarter rounds don't exist, and stopping at 11 or 12 rounds would leave some players with more games than others. We put equal games first:
- 10 players, 10 rounds: 40 of the 45 pairs are used and no pair plays together twice. Everyone plays 8 games and rests 2 times, never twice in a row. Games are also level after round 5, so a 5-round evening works too.
- 11 players, 11 rounds: 44 of the 55 pairs, no pair twice. Everyone plays 8 games and rests 3 times, never twice in a row.
- In both, every player meets every other player as an opponent at least once (1–3 times).
The pairs that are left out are spread out: each of the 10 players misses exactly one possible partner, and each of the 11 players misses exactly two.

How to use it
- Scoring: play to a fixed number of points (16, 21, 24 or 32) or a fixed number of minutes per round. With 10 or 11 rounds, minutes are easier to plan: 12 minutes a round fits 10 rounds into about 2½ hours with changeovers.
- Ranking: total points won. Everyone plays the same number of games, so totals compare fairly.
- Someone cancels? Use the 9-player schedule. Someone extra? The 11-player one. The live app handles it mid-session.
How we know it is fair
This page is generated by the same scheduling engine that runs the Fair Americano app (engine version 1). The build script then checks every number above against the schedule and refuses to publish the page if one does not hold.
The live app makes its own schedule with the same guarantees, so its rounds may differ from this printed sheet. It also copes with a late arrival or someone leaving early, which a printed sheet can't.
